With the arrival of winter, endless arguments would begin between me and my mom on this topic, which would end with a seeming victory for her (and summer clothes secretly packed in my school bag so I could change into them once I got there). The bonus, of course, was frequent absences from school due to constant colds 🤧 (yes, Mom, you were right again 🙃).
This “trend” of mine continued into my university years—my favorite outfit was jeans or pants, paired with a tank top, a light cardigan, and sneakers with bare ankles.
